Science Questions

1. The old universe is thought to be known as the big bang theory where the universe exploded from all directions from a single point called a singularity.

2. 14 billion years after the big bang is the time when our solar system was created.

3. Because if there was no more matter left the universe could not be created as it was the building blocks for the universe.

4. Quarks bunched into groups of three to create protons and neutrons.

5. a) 77% hydrogen

b) Cause there are many forms of hydrogen and it is the simplest form.

6.  A proton is what is in the nucleus of the hydrogen.

7. Because there was a lot of energy in the form of radiation such as x-rays and light.

8. About 300 000 years after the big bang the universe continued to expand however, the temperature dropped to 3000 degrees celcius there for electrons started reducing speed as a result of hydrogen and helium nuclei to form new types of atoms or elements. As more and more particles combined to form new elements the fog cleared.

9. They collected background radiation left over from the very beginning of the universe.

10. Cosmic Background Explorer.

11. Galaxies and stars are formed from clouds of gas about a billion years after the big bang which are made of helium and hydrogen.

12. Baby planets become larger by attracting matter which increases the size.

13. OPEN UNIVERSE, CLOSED UNIVERSE, FLAT UNIVERSE and ACCELERATING UNIVERSE.

14. I think the Flat universe is most correct.

Diary Entry

Since the earliest days of astronomy, since the time of Galileo, astronomers have shared a single goal — to see more, see farther, see deeper.

The Hubble Space Telescope’s launch in 1990 sped humanity to one of its greatest advances in that journey. Hubble is a telescope that orbits Earth. Its position above the atmosphere, which distorts and blocks the light that reaches our planet, gives it a view of the universe that typically far surpasses that of ground-based telescopes.

Hubble is one of NASA’s most successful and long-lasting science missions. It has beamed hundreds of thousands of images back to Earth, shedding light on many of the great mysteries of astronomy. Its gaze has helped determine the age of the universe, the identity of quasars, and the existence of dark energy.

Focus Questions

1. What preliminary research did you conduct to commence your project? I had to research specific techniques which Ford have usedin recent times to design and construct the car. I have had to watched tutorials on photoshop and Indesign. I have also had to do some research on what type of new features can i add into this car.

2. Define the term ‘prototype’. Each group is to establish a common understanding of this term.

Prototype has been defined as  the original form of something, which has the essential features and is the model for subsequent forms. To me a prototype is a scaled functioning draft.

Rogers concience is telling him that he could easily save the boy because he is a good swimmer, However the other side of his concience is telling him that he could ruin his clothes and catch a cold.

‘love you neighbour as you love yourself’

This jesus value tells us to treet everyone as yourself and try and imagine yourself in that little boys shoes and if you cant swim imagine being practically left to die by someone who could easily save you.
